H3 Wrap - Driving to Remember (April 25, 2008)
Each year, law enforcement officers in North America are killed-in-the-line-of-duty. The numbers of such deaths are staggering, and the wake of grief is great. Yet between the many different jurisdictions – spanning the United States and Canada – the total toll of life is often not fully realized.
The Drive to Remember is a tour from Vancouver, BC south to Los Angeles, CA then east to Washington, DC that raises awareness about officers killed-in-the-line-of-duty.
24/7 Cop2Cop News Editors and Publishers Sergeant Steve Gibson and Detective Tod Catchpole will drive a Hummer H3 more than 4,000 miles in 11 Days attending many events including the National Peace Officers Memorial Service. The Hummer H3 is wrapped in striking law enforcement memorial graphics with the names of the American and Canadian officers killed-in-the-line-of-duty, in the last year alone, prominently displayed on the hood.
The Drive to Remember is a partnership between 24/7 Cop2Cop News and the TASER Foundation and would not be possible without help from our many friends and sponsors.
